You can go via a proxy and set the user agent when adding this to the OpenVPN config file on the client:
http-proxy 10.20.30.40 8080
http-proxy-option AGENT “Mozilla/5.0 (compatible; MSIE 10.0; Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; Trident/6.0)”
proto tcp
